Not much choice on buyagift offer and the main course was tasteless and watery

We went there Friday as had a buy a gift voucher and maybe thats the problem as the menu was basic but the food when came was not at all nice and more so the main meal and to be honest l would not recommend Zizi TO ANYONE
My partner had a pasta dish in a creamy sauce but this was far from creamy more watery and the pasta just shoved on and mine was the chicken dish with potatoes and runner beans and this did not look or taste nice and we should have complained but it was busy and we were so disappointed we wanted to get out of there -

We were a group of 10 celebrating my parents 60th wedding anniversary. We had a table tucked in the corner, which was nice. Our waitress was brilliant, she soon realised that my mother has difficulty hearing and made sure she communicated with her face to face, rather than standing at her side. The food was great, everyone was happy with their choices. Every time I have visited this restaurant I've had a good experience and always very friendly.

We have dined at Zizzi's many times but were very disappointed on this occasion. The staff were personable and helpful but the wait for food intolerable. We had visitors from Germany with us and an 8 year old child and to wait so long for our food was both embarrassing, frustrating and unacceptable. I don't know the reason although the waiting staff seemed to be standing at the servery for ages waiting for the food to come out? Sadly there was no apology for the length of time we waited which would have been nice. The food was very good once it arrived but I would think twice before booking again in case this situation happened again especially when dining with a child in the evening who needs to be in bed at a reasonable hour!
