Very Expensive for what it is! Reasonable choice, although sides were necessary and were £3 per side. A complimentary slice of Bread would not go a miss, when paying £30 for 2 courses. the Chef's signature dish which is promoted was not even a choice on the menu!!

I would have loved to respond to your request for information regarding our dining experience at the 'Ptarmigan Restaurant', but unfortunately I cannot comply with your request. Having booked a table on the 13th November 2015 for 8 in the restaurant on 1st January 2016, you can imaging my dismay to be informed shortly before our trip to Kinloch Rannoch, that this booking was cancelled and our custom rejected. It is, therefore, inappropriate for me to comment on many aspects of your hospitality requested below, other than "Booking Experience". This, as you may well understand, rates no stars whatsoever. The fact that the messages from the administrative staff were always polite, did little to mitigate the ensuing unplanned necessity of buying, cooking and freezing a meal for 8 during the extremely busy Christmas period. It would appear that priority was given to people living in the hotel, rather than people, who had made timely bookings in advance. Yours sincerely, Irene M constable
