Phenomenally good. A unique culinary experience. Hands-on, personable and passionate chef/owner. Everything was superb but the beef arancini balls were particularly good. Would highly recommend.

    The menu perfectly embodies traditional British recepies with important European touches on the service and presentation style, and the preparation technique, so, this restaurant satisfies a wide range of palates.The quality is high and the same for every dish, which have to be eaten with all of the ingredients that make it up in order to enjoy it fully. Everything is fresh, house made, very clean and tidy. Wine is good, well selected. Relaxed atmosphere, staff professional. Not easy to find a restaurant like this. I liked everything, but, the dessert Pain Pierdu, is really unexpectedly goooooooooddddd. Open kitchen means they are proud of showing their job to you, so you can trust them. Clean toilets.

    Seriously good food in a very friendly relaxed environment. Love the sharing concept, with dishes served so everyone can taste them.
    The beef tartar starter was one the best I’ve had, and the gnocchi main was superb with a particularly delicious sauce. The venison and duck were also both great. The winner for puddings was the pain perdu with amazing honeycomb.
    The staff, waiters and chefs, were really friendly and made an effort to chat with us.
    Will be back.

    Hatched warranted a few minutes of my time to take this survey (Thing I have never done before). A real gem south of the river! The food was extremely well executed and a lot of thought was put in the assemblage of flavours. The team is obviously meticulous and passionate.

    I was there for lunch on a Saturday with my family and therefore cannot comment on ambiance etc but I imagine the place would be filled with in-the-know locals and foodies alike.

    Can’t wait to go back and share the experience....

    Ps the pain perdu is an absolute must.

    The tempura oyster was outstanding and I feel a little mean selecting this over the other excellent array of food.
