the Sunday roasts are always good although I had pork which was on the menu suggesting apple sauce and crackling was but there was none on the dish other than that everything was excellent and delivered hot and quickly

Disappointing, we are regulars so not a cold response. A warm evening, Windows and doors open, country flies a plenty. Our dearest dish, venison was not of the usual standard. Food quality seems to reflects kitchen staffing.

Excellent meal and good service by very nice staff

Always disappointed on dessert choices, wish you Eton mess or pavalova. Mains are great, but has been the same menu for ages. Was half through our main before we got our drinks.

Overall very good. Didn’t have the two deserts we wanted but that’s a very small thing.

Poor service, indeterminable wait

I was a bit apprehensive when I entered due to the less than positive reviews. I can only assume they were from jealous competitors as their was a good choice on the menu, plus had a vegan menu for my vegan friend. The food didn't take too long to get to us, and was hot and delicious. I found the waiting staff to be friendly, accommodating and efficient. I couldn't fault the service or food at all.

Really good food.
Only issue waiters were not attentive at all unless we called them.
