Amazing food with friendly service

Brighton's critically acclaimed Terre a Terre is a vegetarian restaurant that will have even the most ardent carnivore waxing lyrical. Situated close to the sea-front, it consistently achieves awards such as the AA Rosettes and has been listed as one of the Top Ten Healthy Eating Restaurants in the U.K by Channel 4.
The décor is chic and stylish, using wooden floors and furniture to contrast with vibrant colours. But here the food is the centrepiece: dhal basmati buns with coconut curry leaf chatni, better Batter and Lemony Yemeni Relish and Thai aubergine jungle curry are just a few of the exotic and imaginative dishes you can find here. To complement the food, a large selection of organic beers, ciders and wines are available. A three course meal here costs an average of £40 per person. A refreshing take on vegetarian cuisine.

Excellent lay back but efficient welcome and service. Lovely airy feel to restaurant plus bonus of a small terrace at the rear. Rocket and seeded salad with smokey sun dried tomatoes was a light pleasant starter followed by Aloo Sailor which was an interesting Rosti with all sorts of flavours coming through

We had a lovely meal at Terre a Terre the food was absolutely stunning. It was quite expensive but it was a birthday treat and worth every penny the dishes were beautifully presented and tasted amazing. My partner had the Korean fried cauliflowers to start it was beautifully prepared and tastes delicious. I opted for the French onion soup, with focaccia bread, with herbs and olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We both had the porcini plumps an incredibly tasty dish. starter...KFC
Korean fried cauliflower with sweet and sour sesame, onigiri rice, soused shiso dikon and khol rabi, pickled mirin ginger jelly and green leaf salt dried chips finished with chestnut purée.
Main : Porcini Plumps (ng/vc)
Scrumptious penny bun polenta pudding plumps stuffed with mushroom and smoked tomato duxelle, topped with fresh horseradish turnip creme and ruby port cranberry beads, served with garlic and thyme potato fondant, mulled pink kraut parsnip puree, buttery and pickled rainbow chard with a big pokey lip smacking porcini gravy.
Dessert : Cinnamon sugar spice dusted doughnut straws served with vodka cherries, salt caramel sticky dunker, warm dark chocolate dipper and finished with raspberry freeze dried crumble and extra brute cocoa powder.
Lee's starter: French Onion Soup.. Served with Freshly baked fabulous salty herb focaccia served with virgin olive oil

The best bit of a lemon and lime tart, encased in a crispy coat of white cacao, peppered with a toasted crumble of grandfather grains, sweet kasha and rye. Served with citrus mer.

Really enjoyed our meal. Beautifully presented, vibrant colours, flavours with an impact and wow factor. We by with friends and we shared. The mixed starter platter was a good introduction as none of us were vegetarian. Didn’t have room for desert so will have to go again. Service good despite being very busy.

My friend and I had a lovely evening. Excellent friendly and helpful service. The food was delicious and timely. My only slight disappointment ( as I hadn't been to TaT since 2005) was that the food and general restaurant set up had become more mainstream. I remember a more tapas like menu with lots of innovative small fascinating dishes enabling a really fun evening.

Really enjoyed the food here. It was my first visit after finally convincing my meat eating husband to at least give it a try. Neither of us were disappointed. We had the 3 course set menu and swapped plates with each other half way through each course. The warm Parkin cake for pudding was exceptional! will definitely be coming back.

We had an early dinner, 2 children, two adults. The food was excellent, we had a variety of vegan dishes, all very good and special. Great atmosphere and very good service. Would definitely like to come back!
