With beautiful bistro-style decor and elegant Italian murals, Stefano’s Ristorante Italiano offers a slice of the Mediterranean in Cardiff. Stefano's was named best Italian in the South Wales Food & Drink Awards 2012/13.
In this quaint family-run eatery, the Stefano’s menu serves sumptuously fresh ingredients for an authentic taste of Italy. Delicate antipasti options include classic bruschetta, and duck pâté with pistachio, served with an orange and onion relish and toasted focaccia. A range of pizzas and pasta dishes include vegetarian varieties, and hearty mains like sea-salt cured pork or duck in an orange liqueur sauce combine bold flavours.
A children’s menu is available, and Stefano’s Ristorante Cardiff take pride in their homemade desserts like tiramisu. The wine cellar contains a wealthy stock of wonderfully complementing international bottles.
Housed in the lively Pontcanna area, Stefano’s restaurant offers classic Mediterranean hospitality, with a heated patio perfect for al fresco dining. Cardiff City Centre is a 5-minute taxi ride away.

I love this restaurant. It is not run-of-the mill Italian fare. They include regional cooking and new culinary experiences. The service is always excellent, the décor is fun, the acoustics are good, and they don't cram the tables in - it is spacious and comfortable.
