The Palais Coburg in Vienna is a new gourmet restaurant offering diners the very finest cuisine which is imaginative and creative ? a place for people who enjoy good food. The culinary offering includes creative interpretations of classic dishes and exceptional gastronomic concoctions which combine wonderfully with the Coburg?s extensive wine selection. The Palais Coburg's wine sommelier Frank Smulders is the second European to have successfully completed the Master of Wine examination. A very impressive range of 5,000 different wines provides the perfect accompaniment to every meal and Herr Smulders is the right man for the job.

    We had a wonderful time. A sublime entrance. It was such a pleasure sitting there, just relaxing. Everybody was so friendly and nice. We had 7 courses. It is hard to tell wich one was the best. They were all perfect to us. And the best of all was that the chef took time for us to meet.

    Really good experience. Caviar and beets was our favourite. Amazing flavours in that dish that complemented eachother very well.
    Service: Especially the sommelier was very good. Good mood and presented the wine (and sometimes food) very well.
    Minor improvement: Petit fours should have been served together with the coffee. We were almost finished with the coffee when they arrived.

    An amazing experience. The dinner was extraordinary: the courses were delicious and had uncommon ingredients, with several tastes deliciously mixed together. The accompanying glasses of wine were a perfect match. The staff was extremely friendly. They even took us to the kitchen to shake the hand of the chef, and offered an extra dessert as a present for my wife’s birthday. Last but not least, the location is awesome, as well as the fantastic ambience created by the suffused lighting over the dark-coloured furniture.

    One of the best dining experiences we've had, and we go to a lot of Michelin starred restaurants in our travels. I'm a vegetarian and all the dishes I was served were fantastic , which is not usually the case. The food was beautiful and delicious. The sommelier was especially outstanding. I know a lot about champagne and he listened and was able to direct us to some grower producers and two excellent bottles.

    Favorites? There were so many but both my husband and I especially loved the asparagus (with some kind of black seasoning) that came in both of our dishes. But everything was incredible

    The experience was amazing, from the food to the service. Everyone was extremely nice and though I was dining alone and they were really busy, they were tentative. It was a special celebration for me and they truly made it special for me.
