We went along to the newly opened Marco Pierre White restaurant at the Park Avenue Hotel. Having visited the hotel previously, I noticed the change immediately, the restaurant looks fantastic. We were greeted upon arrival by the Maitre D who confirmed our booking and took us straight to our table, handing us over to our waiter. We ordered a sirloin steak each, done medium rare, and to cut to the chase, it was the best steak either of us had ever had. The accompaniments were delicious, and the service was fantastic - to give credit to the waiter, Neal, who was outstanding. Thank you for a great meal, I will be singing the praises and recommending far and wide!

Dined with my wife and another couple on a busy Saturday evening. Overall, I'd rate this restaurant as very good with potential,to be excellent if they refined some details. The food was very good. Starter of frito misto beautifully cooked and simply presented. Small portion but fine for a starter. My fillet steak was superb - clearly a quality cut and well aged. Perfectly cooked to medium as requested. Accompanying chips were great. Onion rings overcooked - as was the case with the haddock ordered by the girls. The fish was good but the batter overcooked. Knickerbocker glory desserts went down well. In terms of service, our main waiter (Fernando) was superb. Attentive, made a great wine suggestion and ensured our wine glasses were topped up. Other aspects of service however need fine tuning. On arrival, we were left in the waiting area unattended for too long and not offered drinks. After the meal the coffees arrived at a different time from the teas. There were no teaspoons and no milk or sugar brought with the teas. That said, the waiter recognised my wife's birthday with a lovely happy birthday message written in chocolate on a plate with fresh raspberries. A very nice touch. Restaurant decorated beautifully in a contemporary style.
In summary a very good overall experience that has potential to become excellent. It felt like key members of staff had been fully and properly trained whilst others are perhaps regular staff from the hotel that may not have benefited from training specific to the standards of a steakhouse. Will return !
Our overall experience was excellent the menu was full of mouth watering dishes I'd love to have sampled them all. We both had the fillet steaks done medium to rare which were done to perfection. We didn't have starters or deserts just appatiser, sour dough and olives. It was a beautiful meal a little pricey but you get what you pay for
Overall I was impressed although the starter was a bit boring, a beetroot and goats cheese salad but I thought it was very simple and could have been a bit more inventive. The main was very good and the service was great.
Myself & My Husband went for a meal and had a fabulous experience. The Sirloin Steak was perfect, the portions were just right, our waiter Fernando was very attentive.
We would highly recommend this restaurant.
