Service and food both excellent, they handled a large group really well
We booked a Feast of London deal but when we arrived we were only given the tasting menu. When we asked for the Feast of London menu ( which we had to do twice) we were made to feel awkward.
The food was ok but the service let them down. As part of the deal we were meant to have a cocktail. I have never needed to ask for these before but yet again we had to ask. We did this after the main course because it was clear we wouldn’t get it otherwise.
So in summary, poor service, ok food, very expensive wine and will not go back or recommend it.
Given the Marcus connection the food was extremely disappointing. Every dish a little too salt and the chops ordered pink were served well done. However the maitre d' did everything possible to repair the damage so overall the evening was enjoyable
Starter and deserts were not great, main was very nice.
Nice surroundings. We booked the star deal. 3 courses and a cocktail £28. It was quite disappointing that the main courses required a side to make a whole meal. So this was extra that couldn’t be avoided. The cocktail was lovely but the measure was small. Maybe three mouthfuls.
The starters and main course were pretty average. The potatoes we ordered as one of our sides were very tasty. The broccoli was another story, it was served with a nut butter sauce that just didn’t go with anything else, a strange choice from the chef.
The desert was very tasty and by far the best part of the meal.
There are much better deals out there for much nicer food.
I doubt we will be returning.
Great food and service with friendly and attentive staff. Portions good without being massive and overbearing. Fish dishes are a favourite, in particular the Pollock which is just amazing. We have been here several times and will definately go back again.
Nice food, good value, very good service
Very underwhelming and horrendously overpriced for what you get.
Mains were Luke warm, no sides included so the deal isn’t really that great value when you’re spending another fiver for some potatoes with your cold meat.
Chouxnut really does need to come off the menu - dessert wasn’t pleasant whatsoever!
Portions tiny - just about lined my stomach after 3 courses!
The food was good but nothing exceptional for a fixed price dinner menu. The portion was quite small as well. I still felt hungry after the 3-course meal.
