We were a Group of 5 friends meeting for a quick meal before going on elsewhere. Service was slower than usual and the restaurant was not full. One table nearby had a noisy family dining which made conversation difficult amongst us on our table at times.
Generally the food was very good. I had the grilled salmon which was excellent. Unfortunately one of us had a pie but the butternut quash was under cooked and still hard. By the time that was sorted the rest of us had nearly finished our meals.
Staff were apologetic and reduced the bill.
4 out of 5 were happy!
Hair on the salmon dish and the 2nd one was not cooked very well, that was replaced with a turkey dinner. The last drinks order never arrived .
Very friendly staff enjoyable lunch with my family
A great meal with friendly service , a shame the blue cheese fondue had run out but all the other food was well cooked & well presented in a friendly environment .
As usual, the food and wine was good. Having a baby with us, the service by the staff was excellent, they made us feel very welcome as always.
Pleasant surroundings and good food at a reasonable price
Very good and friendly staff.
Service was very slow, too many customers with not enough staff. When we did get our meal the steak was like boot leather. Chips greasy and the onion ring was a bit like a rock of fat! Sorry just not what you want to receive on you plate.
Will not be going back as this is t the first time we had a poor meal there.
The Lamb Shank was very good, my only criticism would be that there wasn't enough gravy, but when I asked for more, they bought it to our table straight away. The restaurant had a lovely cosy feel and the service was good
Lovely food and service was excellent. Veggie options a little limited.
