We had a fabulous meal here yesterday to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Amazing service and wonderful food it was the perfect location for a special celebration! Highly recommend and we will definitely be back.
I have dined here on many occasions and this one did not disappoint.
Inactive beautiful presented 3 course lunch.
Attentive but not too obtrusive staff.
Excellent Service and Menu
5 star experience! We were greeted from the elevators and welcomed into the restaurant. The woman who checked our reservation was polite and friendly and escorted us through to the bar to wait on our table - we were 30 minutes early for our reservation. The bar itself was stunning. The decor was beautiful from the cushions on the chairs and sofas to the lighting. The staff were again very attentive and although one of the drinks we ordered was unavailable they did offer suggestions of similar items and brought the drinks over promptly. We did have to ask a member of staff about our dining table as our seating time had passed and no one had come to move us through, however the staff did acknowledge this and went to enquire about the table and returned to tell us we would be seated shortly. The lady who took our reservation came through to collect us shortly after and apologised before sitting us at our table (overlooking Buckingham Palace) and introducing us to our waiter Salvadore. We were spoken to by all the members of staff while in the restaurant and they were really the highlight of the night. Everyone was extremely well manned and kind and seemed genuinely happy to help. The service was quick and the best I have ever experienced. Onto the food! The food was simply wonderful. From our welcome dish right through to the marshmallows after we had settled our bill it was all so refreshing and each mouthful was packed full of flavour. The menu we had was small as it was part of the 3 course deal, however there was still a nice selection available and the value for money was exceptional. I would love to dine again at Galvin at Windows, however it would need to be as part of another offer as I would be unable to afford it otherwise. The table did have a card showing current offers and deals available which was encouraging for us and we did not feel intimidated by the atmosphere or staff at all. The complimentary postcards were a fun addition too.
Food, wine, and service were absolutely superb. I had sea bream for starter, pork for main, and the cheese selection for dessert. Wines were Chablis and a Spanish Malbec. The food is well worth it's Michelin Star and the service levels were as good as anywhere.
The views over London are also great, and it's nice to dine in an elevated restaurant that is focused on top food rather than just living off the views.
Lovely choices of food ,beautifully presented and delicious.
Poor selection of wines below £40 a glass.
Otherwise fantastic food great ambience.
Didn’t really enjoy the experience. The ambience was very cold. At the time of booking I had requested to be seated by a window table if possible. When we arrived at the venue and they took us at our table we found out they gave us a table behind a column where we could not see the view. In the meantime almost all of the window tables were empty!!! We asked to change table and thankfully our request was accommodated. The general atmosphere was very cold there was no music in the background and you could see more staff than people in the room which created an awkward vibe as if you are being watched all the time. Due to the lack of music there were loud noises of plates and cutlery being moved along which was quite unpleasant.
Our Bellini was very nice but they only served us a tiny amount. Food was very average. The thing we disliked more was that the dessert options were limited to two. We got both to try them and the panacotta one is the most blunt and uninteresting dessert I have ever tried. Do avoid it! Very disappointing to see such poor variety for the menu.
On top of all that the restrooms were closed so if you wanted to go wash your hands you had to go all the way down to the first floor!!! I understand that they are doing refurbishment work (which would be good to know when making the reservation) but they should have an alternative to accommodate customers needs such as providing hot towels/making the women’s toilets accessible to both men and women for the amount of time the other restroom is being restored. Will not be visiting again
Excellent service with mouth watering food.
Amazing view with a complimentary post card of the view to send to a friend anywhere In the world- nice touch!
Brilliant. Venue, food, wine, service, everything is wonderful
