    Staff very friendly and accommodating to dietary requirements ( gluten free ). Varied menu with lovely tasty food. Clean tables and relaxing atmosphere.

    Batter soggy and heavy on the fish. Garlic bread very greasy when pulling apart.

    Lovely setting in the restaurant. We were on a dinner, bed and breakfast package so found it confusing that some items on menu were extra charge for us. Asked waiter who said it was so but didn't know why. Stayed with those without an extra charge which was a shame as found out at checkout that we were simply given a certain allowance and charged if over that. NEED TO HAVE NEW MENUS WITHOUT EXTRA CHARGE PRINTED. Food was good and freshly cooked at dinner. At breakfast the usual buffet had normal choices kept warm under lights. I don't know how long the black pudding had been there but it was charcoal and inedible. Fried eggs came out regularly so nice and fresh. Good choice of cold food available too.
