A truly memorable experience. We were greeted and seated very quickly in a very polite manner. Table service was perfect and the food was easily the best we have ever had. The restaurant itself is very intimate, each dish was presented by the chef who made it and each ingredient explained.

Wonderful evening dining experience with my Fiance. The restaurant itself we found beautiful and intimate. We dined on two tall chairs at the pass which was a perfect way for us to enjoy the 6 course menu. I say 6 course but with the "nibbles" to start with and the "afters" as well it is no wonder we were satisfied after our meal but not overly so, just we felt comfortably full. Charlie and Louis, who were the Chefs at the pass were superb hosts and took pride in explaining the dishes they served and answering our questions. For some of the courses some perhaps junior ? chefs served us and they again were superbly professional and the pride they had in their dishes was fabulous. Adam was there in the dining room for the early part of the evening and greeted us, along with all the other diners which was a treat.

Noisy, salty, not what I was expecting from the reviews. The meal at £378 was overpriced. The young chefs who delivered each course were personable and described the food well. Despite that, there was no dish that we thought was memorable. The red deer was good once I scraped off the sauce. The wine pairings were OK, not inspired. The wine stewards' grasp of French and German wines is not very complete.

This meal was to celebrate our son becoming a Doctor of Philosophy. We had one of the most delicious meals we have every tasted. The Initials menu was delicious and the service was the best we have every had. The wine was paired with great accuracy and was absolutely spot on. I would highly recommend this menu and the four of us really enjoyed everything about the evening. I loved that the chefs came to the table whilst serving each course to explain what each course was etc.,

Lovely room, somewhat comfortable chairs (we were at the chefs table). However: The light under the bench was very bright and white, especially when you have a white napkin in your knee, and the rest of the lighting was somewhat dimmed. To be a chefs table, it was not easy getting extra info about the food as the servers were always running around. The food was great, but there was little variation in the presentation, and for our scandinavian palate the general taste was a bit too vinegar'y. I think the favourite was actually the breads and the tracklements (new favourite english word! :-) ) and the fisk. The pickled mussel in my non-diary soup was the least favourite....

Sat at Chef's counter and had a truly wonderful meal Every course was a delight with incredible flavours throughout. Although some flavours were quite innovative, everything worked beautifully. The mussels in an onion soup was one of the stars of the show - as was the broth, prior to the menu proper. Food very nicely complemented by a smooth bottle of american red wine. Staff were incredibly friendly and were genuinely interested in what I thought of the food. Keen to know what was my favourite which was an impossible question to answer such was amazing array to chose from.
