From beginning to end it was brilliant. Booked with no problems, thought maybe we would have soggy veg as it was a late meal, nothing like it. Meat excellent, vegetables were freshly cooked and plenty of them too. Fantastic Yorkshires. All for under £10. Wonderful surroundings thrown in. Thank you, will be back soon.

Meat chosen was very good and tender. Some vegetables could have been warmer. There was no red cabbage!

On arrival were shown to our table eventually someone took our orders for drinks, then we had to join the queue to get our meal. It took 40 minutes to get to the carvery and as I am two weeks post op hip replacement it was a long while to have to stand. My sister and I both had the beef but when we started to eat our meal the beef was not very nice it was fatty and grisly so not very edible, otherwise the rest of the meal was fine. I would never choose to go there again on a Sunday.

My friend and I visited Toby Carvery on Saturday 3rd September 2016. Our first dismay was that none of the three toilets had toilet paper.
I booked for 4.30pm. The waiter took us around the back to a table in a dark corner. Noticing three empty tables by the window I asked to sit there. The waitress agreed saying that she would have to wipe the table down. I thanked her.
The wait for our drinks, which we asked for as soon as we sat was 45 minutes.
The carvery table had no napkins with which to hold the hot plates. Fortunately, thus visit they were not that hot. The slices of turkey, gammon and park were almost wafer thin. I am not a big eater, so thus fact did not bother me. The beef I got were two inch size pieces that one might leave at the end if a meal. Minuscule. Imitation of a slice if beef.
At the sauces table, I got the last half teaspoon of cranberry. My friend went up after me, 10 minutes later no sauces were replaced. The only sauce was a quarter bowl of the dark mustard and the same of Colman type mustard. About three teaspoons of mint sauce. No apple sauce.
There were only two bowls of gravy. One vegetarian one beef. Both were quarter full. My friend got no gravy.About half hour later I went up for another Yorkshire pudding there still was no gravy.
To be fair the meal, that we did have was tasty.
After three requests to three different waiters our drinks arrived. One glass was not only dirty but still had lipstick marks.
Towards the end of our meal, there was a change of shift. Our new waitress was charm itself, and oh so smiling, cheerful and helpful when she introduced herself and as she took our desert orders and looked after us for the rest of our visit.
The deserts were lovely.we took advantage of the £6.49 deal for two courses. The chocolate fudge cake was delicious. My friend enjoyed the ice cream.
I was considering, to bite the bullet and do my first review on Trip Advisor. This will suffice. My experiences before have been good
