Das The Restaurant bietet junge und innovative Gourmetküche vom Chef Fine Dining Heiko Nieder in einem stilvollen Ambiente. Das Geheimnis seines Stils ist sein grosses Aromenspektrum, das auf klassische Geschmacksbilder verzichtet. Überraschende, leichte Gerichte prägen die Menükarte. Das The Restaurant ist mit 18 Gault-Millau-Punkten und zwei Michelin-Sternen ausgezeichnet.

Mittags empfiehlt sich das Amuse-Bouche-Menü, das einen Querschnitt durch die Menükarte des The Restaurant bietet, oder ein 4- oder 5-Gang-Menü. Abends servieren wir ein 5- und 8-Gang-Menü, das spezielle vegetarische Menü und das 12-Gang-Tasting-Menu.

    We chose the 8 course menue with the correlating wine to every course. But before the first course was served a virtually endless number of little greatings from the chef were served each of which was a culinary surprise. Every course that was served was just excellent. The staff very well educated, enganged, with the right touch of humour, the wine was served by the chef de service himself, explained every winde in great detail. Quite pricey though, but worth it.

    The service was outstanding , the teste really great with a lot of technically difficult dishes. The line fish in coconut with jasmine undertone was my favorite as the balance of flavor was great and the dish had elegance and simplicity. The goose liver curry was least enjoyable although still very tasty it failed to impress. The desert was suprising and intriguing, which I enjoyed a lot. I. We liked the stories about the dishes and how the creations were made and inspired. I found it important aspect of fine dining experience. I really appreciated Mr Niedler taking round at the end of the experience and it was an honor to talk to him. The only aspect of the experience that I didn't enjoy was lighting of the tables. Instead of helping to admire elaborate art of plating that was most impressive and at very high standard ,the lit up tables made it more difficult to see the details of the dishes. I think the lighting should be on the plate and not behind the plate .
    Over all it was great experience and very memorable one.
    definitely worth making special trip to visit this outstanding establishment .

    Amazing evening! Each course was pure pleasure. The staff were great and we the Chef even came to talk to each table which was a very personal touch!

    Beginning with an exquisite assortment of amuse bouches, the tasting menu had many dishes bursting with the flavors of summer. All of the dishes were works of art visually, and incorporated a variety of interesting ingredients in masterful flavor combinations. I especially enjoyed the tropical tastes of banana, mole, and coconut. Another very pleasing feature to me was the number and range of seafood dishes. The wine list had many excellent choices that harmonized perfectly with the food. All of the servers were extremely personable and attentive and they helped to make a great meal even more memorable.

    Best restaurant feature: it has excellent vegetarian selections. I had the 8-course vegetarian tasting menu and every dish was distinguished by its creativity, eclectic yet balanced flavours and exquisite presentation. I would make return to The Restaurant every time I travel to Zürich which could be often as I travel to Switzerland very year.
