Great view from the bar but the seats in the restaurant were a bit low to see!

Nice food. A great way to spend a Friday night:)

With stunning panoramic views across London, Level 9 restaurant in The Blavatnik Building serves a modern menu, supported by grill dishes utilising the finest British meat and fish. In keeping with Tate’s core mission, only the best of British produce is used, with seasonal and sustainable ingredients cooked with international influences.

Starters on the Tate Modern restaurant menu include Cornish red crab with avocado and citrus oil, and twice-baked blue cheese soufflé with gooseberry vinaigrette. The food was very good and was accompanied with excellent wine pairing. The service was also of a good standard.

Attentive and friendly staff, nice table, good food - only qualification was price of bottle of 2015 Albarino at £48 which seemed very high but it was very drinkable

This is an ideal place to have a stylish yet relaxing dinning experience with a toddler. The staffs are very child friendly but the atmosphere and the menu of food/drink are positively different from what you can get from the normal 'Child friendly' restaurants. We (including our son) love it!!

Had 2 starters, rather than one main-- both excellent; a good option if you want variety and not a huge amount. The asparagus was perfect, just the right degree of crispness, served with soft boiled egg and very fresh sourdough bread. And will certainly hope to sample e thecarpaccio of sea-bass again. The waiter kindly substituted rye for sourdough bread on this one. Te ambience? I wish the restaurant was still in the Boiler house (now the Kitchen)--The Blavatnik building restaurant asks those wonderful views across the river to St Pauls (unless you are very tall!).

This is a very mixed experience. The staff are lovely. The design is frustrating in that it does not allow diners to see the views as much is obscured by pillars and wood. So different from the old restaurant. When I came last year I thought the food exceptional. Now, although my cottage pie was pretty good my friend's terrine was disappointing and her salad was a few bagged leaves over-laden with dressing. I feel the food has gone downhill. The ambience is still good, thanks to the staff and the lovely wood used in the construction but it is expensive, frustrating and - now - not with "special" food.

Our first time in the 'new' Tate Modern Restaurant in the Blantvick Building. We have enjoyed many good meals in the 'old' Tate Modern restaurant..the one with the floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Thames which is now more of a cafe. Have to say that we are not fans of the new location and decor. Very strange indeed....too much wood, too few views....only 'tops' of buildings could be seen once one sat down. With gorgeous city views, why the architect chose not to capitalise on them is beyond me.
There were few people in the restaurant on Wednesday. We arrived at 12.30 and departed at just before 3pm. Over that time period there were no more than 7 or 8 tables full ...or that had been 'turned over'. The restaurant is very large and seemed even larger with so few people in it...and we really didn't enjoy that. There was no 'people vibe' and we felt like we were eating in a big shoe box!
Having said that, we did appreciate that there was music (very low key and opposed to to loud rock) for without the music there would have been no atmosphere at all in the place.
The food and service nearly made up for it however. The young Maitre d' was a delight and our waiter could not have been more charming. The menu was well devised and certainly had a good range of items for selection. We each had two Starters...Mackrel,Asparagus with egg( x 2) and Fish carpaccio. All were executed well and had good flavour and texture. We also had the matching wine parings which were spot on.
Overall I don't think we would return to the restaurant because of the 'coldness' of the decor, and will stick with the cafe on the 3rd floor in the Turbine Building....A more intimate space with super views.

Excellent. This was a birthday meal, which was nicely recognised by the staff with a "Happy Birthday" message on the dessert plates - not asked for but a nice thing to do. Good food; good service; cool on a hot day and convivial.
