Guests can enjoy signature patisserie served throughout the day, as well as breakfasts, lunches, afternoon teas, and fine coffee. The pastry counter at Patisserie Valerie displays spectacular hand-crafted celebration cakes, and an artful array of sweet treats. Choose from gateaux, cheesecakes and fruit tarts, plus traditional scones with jam & cream and gluten-free brownies.

I booked an Afternoon tea for three about a month before we went. On arrival our table was not ready, we sat down and were brought our tea on single plates. We were expecting our sandwiches scones etc to come out on a proper three tier cake stand. When we asked why we didn't have this the waiter replied,we only have 3 of these in the shop. I find this a very disappointing especially when the whole experience of an afternoon tea is it being presented properly. The waiter did say if we were prepared to wait, one of the cake stands would become available, so we waited. The waiter was very apologetic and we said it wasn't his fault. I do think that you aught to supply your shops with plenty of cake stands especially when you are advertising afternoon teas. It's a shame because our experience could have been so much better.

Food was good, service not so. Tea and coffee were bottomless, but no one to ask for refills, then when we did ask it didn't arrive!!

Lovely afternoon tea. We arrived and the table we chose had recently been vacated so needed cleaning but that was quickly done. The food was delicious and the staff were very helpful finding another cup when my mother overmilked her cup and replacing jam flavours to our favourites!

We were seated on a cramped table in a corner. The sandwiches were not freshly made. The scones and cakes were good. The service was average, we would have liked our teapot refilled but we were not asked. I also had to ask for our complimentary macaroons when I paid.

We were received and served by pleasant staff. The afternoon tea was good. We were offered refills of tea which was accepted. Restaurant quiet and clean.

I took a French colleague for the set menu afternoon tea. The choice of teas was a little disappointing - I realise that coffee is the primary hot drink variety on offer here - but what we had (Earl Grey with Blueflower) was very nice and free top ups were offered so the pot refills were nice and fresh. Good selection of finger sandwiches, but a shame the mini quiches were soggy - warmed in the microwave I suspect so pastry was disappointing, especially for my French guest!

Nice selection of mini cakes but a shame it was set out on plain white crockery (no pretty china) but practical for dishwasher I guess. There were also sweet and savoury scones for each of us, which they kindly packed in a doggy bag for us as too much to finish. I was a little miffed that we had to ask for the 'free box of macaroons' which they seemed to have ready but stashed away and not offered or mentioned to us at all - perhaps they were hoping we would forget.

My friend and I booked the afternoon tea special as Bury is our favourite place for shopping. Our original appointment was for 3:00 pm but we were flagging and so decided to see if they could fit us in a little earlier, which they were happy to do. The patisserie looks small from the front but goes a long way back and was very busy. We were seated and our lovely tea arrived soon after with lots of sandwiches, scones and little cakes and a decent cuppa. Our only gripe was much too much mustard on the ham sandwich; it was to overpowering and hot! The atmosphere was very nice and "French" feeling and a real treat. Thank you
