Brick Lane has always been engulfed by many people. It has always been very famous. My friends and I tried to explore the quieter areas around Brick Lane and that is how we came across Meraz. The first thing we saw was the modest building. There was no one standing outside which was a great contrast to the other restaurants in Brick Lane. It was very easy to be fooled by the very first sight of Meraz. It just goes to show how true the english saying "don't judge a book by it's cover" is. As soon as we stepped in we were accepted with open arms. I was abit taken aback by this type of servicing because in a restaurant you don't usually get this type of welcome. I felt like I was invited to dinner by a friend. I thought that this welcoming will wear off as time went by but to my surprise, the homely atmosphere was still there until we stepped out of the restaurant and that was only the service. The food was also exceedingly delicious. I honestly thought that the Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi food has been brought back to London. I know this because I have personally tasted these kind of dishes for I have gone to these countries and I have also been fortunate enough to have childhood friends from these areas of the world who I have eaten home made food from. I can't wait to go back there.

I have visited Brick Lane countless times but then I came across a friend who recommended for me to go visit Meraz. When I heard his recommendation I thought that it would be like any other restaurant I have visited on Brick Lane. The meal that we had there left a lasting mark in my mind. This was the first time I have tatsed true home-made indian food.We were guided through the menu and we decided that we would pick Sami's lamb and Baneer Aloo for starters and for main we had Shath Khora Sina (beef on the bone cooked with a vegetable which tasted a bit like the grape fruit). Karahi Chicken which was the day special and for side we had Sun Dried Spinnach and Cabbage Bajee with a couple of nan bread. The fusion of the spices created explosions of fire works. The indian dishes were a delight to my taste-buds. It left them wanting for more. It's service was equally matched which was very surprising for Brick Lane, I guess,it's not a surprise to the people who have discovered Meraz before me. It's one of the best kept local secret. I would strongly recommend this for some one who is looking for a genuine and true indian meal. This was truelly a home away from home. Hats off to the manager [@].
