Interesting sandwiches, drinks and cakes. All a bit artisan. I had the carrot cake with pistachio and knew there was something a bit different but thought it had been made with oil instead of butter but it turned out it was gluten free. My starter of salmon (fishy loves kitty) was tasty and arrived in the style of potted shrimp in a jar with a warm boule of sourdough bread and is to be recommended. The main reason for eating at the Cat Village was the cats and they were really sweet and enjoyed games. We abided by the rules - not picking up any of the cats and not disturbing when sleeping and the hour and a half seemed about right to have the experience and eat.

The staff were lovely, very helpful. Loved the cats, they were very chilled. The actual location is hard to find. We walked straight past the cafe.

I absolutely loved it! Went with a group of friends in the morning (we were the first people there and had the cafe to ourselves for around half an hour) and we all thoroughly enjoyed our time. The layout and setting is really stylish and cozy (the wooden furniture is perfect), and our food and drinks not only looked but also tasted great! (We had gluten free carrot cake, unicorn cake, scones, along with a range of different drinks - all delicious). Cute little cats sitting around sleeping or waiting for cuddles made out time really special. Some were friendlier than others, but they all looked great in photos! So many beautiful different breeds and colours. It's just a shame that many of them were sleeping and the visiting time slots are not longer than an hour :) Oh and the waitress was lovely and made the rules very clear to us. The cafe was quite difficult to find (we walked up and down the road 4 times until we found it, haha!) but that could be due to the construction works right next to it.

Arrived within our time slot and got told that they'd already closed the kitchens and weren't letting us in. After travelling over an hour on London transport you can imagine how annoying it was to have to go all the way back home.

Dreadfully disappointing. After a bank holiday weekend, the already minimal menu was reduced to barely any choices. They hardly had anything in and it seemed to be beyond them to go out and buy certain ingredients - such as clotted cream for the scones. The unicorn cake that my daughter was looking forward to was also 'unavailable' as was her main choice of food. A toastie with brie and ham was a little sophisticated for her taste buds ( probably nice for adults). The water we asked for didn't come - so for her birthday lunch with her friends she literally had nothing. She was so hungry we had to go straight over the road to the supermarket for a pot of humous and baguette. If you are running a food outlet, ok, you may not have one or two things on the menu but if you have such a small menu you really do have a responsibility to get your food ordering sorted or provide an alternative. It is not enough to blame a bank holiday weekend! Yes, the cats were beautiful - though they do just sleep around you. The place itself is a really lovely design. The cats were certainly well looked after - but not the humans. I'm glad I wasn't seated downstairs as it really stank of cat urine - and that was where the kitchen was. I only knew this after our meal. It cost me £105 -( all toasties left practically untouched by 3 twelve year olds). Each item - main, cake or drink cost around £6/7. So I really wouldn't recommend it for this age group. The seating was awkward - 4 of us were seated in a row, so I had to ask for a chair in order that we could hold a conversation. It was a little bit like being in a library. There were probably only another 6 people in (upstairs) at a time with us. It's a very small place. They took the service charge off our bill. A service charge - in addition to the £7 for each person to actually enter the cafe. I knew about that before going but hadn't reckoned on a service charge on top! Sorry - it left a bad taste in my mouth. Definitely not worth it.

Food fine, but felt very sorry for the cats lack of freedom and escape as people kept touching them and playing with them. Need to in force house rules more and less toys on sticks.

The restraunt was beautiful , the atmosphere was relaxing and the lovely cats were all so friendly and amazing to be around with. We were so busy playing with the cats that we kept forgetting about our drinks but the hot drinks were just as nice as the place. Overall I think this is the best experience me and my husband has ever had and we will 100% be coming again.
