Built in 1545 by Admiral Sir Francis Vernan, Haslington Hall is a breathtaking setting for fine English dining with European tweaks. Crackling fires add to the cosy ambience, and there are traditional afternoon teas filled with inventive touches.
A superb range of traditional British recipes and more contemporary continental flavours can be found on the Haslington Hall Restaurant menu. Starters include parsnip and chestnut soup with a ginger crème fraîche, and chicken liver pâté with rosemary focaccia toast and homemade date and orange chutney. Classic British mains like venison steak with juniper berry sauce feature, as well as vegetarian delicacies like curried butternut squash risotto with warm salad of halloumi, courgette, shallots and mushrooms.
Irresistible desserts at Haslington Hall Restaurant in Crewe include bitter chocolate tart with poached pear mulled wine, and crème brûlée with black cherries and homemade pistachio shortbread. Afternoon teas feature all the traditional treats, including fresh scones with jam and clotted cream, and a selection of teas.
A stunning example of traditional British fine dining, Haslington Hall is 10 minutes' drive from Crewe Rail Station.

The whole experience was magical, from being able to park directly outside (one of the party was on a crutch), to the welcome we received, the food and hospitality was phenomenal - the lady serving us was very professional, polite and friendly. Would highly recommend this experience to anyone and everyone!

I booked the table, and when we arrived, they were nt expecting us, but they gave us a nice selection of sandwiches, and cakes and a pot of tea.

I booked an afternoon tea for two to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The venue is an impressive 700 year old country house set in the idyllic Cheshire countryside it is full of original character including beams from a Spanish Armada galleon. There is a lake with ducks and geese. We were made very welcome nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The food was excellent and plentiful. All in all a wonderful experience.

An enthusiastic welcome. Service with equal enthusiasm. Food, more than adequate with quality more than comparable
with a very reasonable price. The building and fittings are showing their age ,which is not unreasonable, given the considerable
age of the premises, but a most attractive setting. More than happy to add this one to our list.

On arrival we found an empty car park and a reception area that was like walking through the front door of an old country manor rather than a proper reception area. We were seated in the window of what looked like the sitting room of an old house. We were the only people there, and although this had been a little off putting at first, we soon relaxed to enjoy it with a lovely view from our table of the grounds outside. "Nigel" couldn't do enough for us and tried his best to put us at ease. We had afternoon tea consisting of finger sandwiches, egg mayonnaise, ham and salmon and cream cheese, scones with jam and clotted cream, and a selection of cakes, all with tea of course.

the place was hard to find It could do with some more lights and boards. After that the food was very good, tasty and filling. The sticky toffeee pudding could do with a bit of icecream or cream to go with it.
The only problem was the beer. I asked for a beer and got a Peroni no choice?May eb an alternative? The Duck starter melted in my mouth and for the Lamb it was just perfect. Well done!!!

We ate here with friends in the evening. Friends are very fussy eaters and can be uber critical but everyone agreed the food was fabulous. This is an old building and you might need a vest!! Apart from that the evening was a great success. Would eat here again.

although we were the only people in the Restaurant, it was a most pleasant experience, we are glad we invited friends to dine with us.
the setting was lovely, the dinning room was also very nice, with lovely log fire.
the service and food were very good, and we will all dine again here, i am sure it will get more busy as more people get to know about it.
we had a restricted menu choose from 3 starters, 3 main and 3 desserts, with a special price £20 pp, excellent value.
my cheese souffle was lovely, and the chicken liver pate was also very good.
main course was chicken or salmon or veg option.
The salmon with herb crust with fresh mussel cream sauce & the corn feed chicken, both very good with lovely veg and dauphinoise potatoes.
To top all that the Creme Brulee with black cherry's and choc brownies on the side-WOW.
Please put your blinkers on regarding the hideous Christmas trees, i hope they may go shortly.
