With high praise from Fay Maschler in The Evening Standard, and 5 stars from Time Out, the creative British food at Claude’s Kitchen in Fulham has earned the restaurant a stellar reputation. Having worked in Michelin-starred Club Gascon, Claude Compton creates rustic dishes with modern touches.

The Claude’s Kitchen menu focuses on British ingredients, with fresh fish coming in daily from Cornish fisherman. Dishes change weekly but may include the enticing beef short rib with celeriac mash, vanilla-pickled winter vegetables, and barbecue sauce, or hake with shellfish broth, shallots, saffron, sorrel and kataifi cheese pastry. Desserts include the intriguing smoked and spiced berries with chili peppers, burnt meringues and cucumber and mint oil.

Above the Amuse Bouche champagne bar, Claude’s Kitchen in Parsons Green has rustic wooden furnishings and stone walls, whilst retaining a sophisticated modern feel. A lengthy wine list is on offer, whilst the exciting range of cocktails changes regularly.

    Wonderful food and service, excellent value for money with lots of little special touches. A true gem!

    Sadly this time we were not impressed. My starter of Cuttlefish was rubbery and salty. A nice kick to the green sauce. Potato spaghetti had good flavour but was a bit dry. Maybe a bit of oil/butter would have helped. Pigeon followed so underdone it was cold in the middle with a salty jus. This was replaced better cooked, still very rare but was so salty I could not eat it. (I later found out as I suspected it was brined!) I was offered a replacement and the service was fine and he did everything possible to make us happy!
    Puddings. Lemon tart ok Tiramisu ok. They then brought us some prosecco on the house as it was my friends birthday. A nice gesture but not after we had finished! It might have been better served with the dessert.. I shall go back as I love the place and it is the first time I have been disappointed....

    Lovely room, really nice server. The food was a bit hit or miss - we were told that the 'potato spaghetti' would be like gnocchi. In actual fact, a raw (or minimally cooked) potato had seen the inside of a spiraliser, and went directly onto our plates. It was pretty much inedible. The server probably should have removed them from our bill when she took away full plates of food. That said, the leek dish with tofu was great, and the monkfish was good, and the chicken was tasty. The caramel-banana dessert should be avoided though. A relaxed, fun atmosphere. I'll go again when the adventurous spirit next takes me.

    We had an early dinner table booked and took advantage of the 3 course fixed price menu. A friendly welcome, helpful service, and a buzzy atmosphere as the evening wore on. The 3 of us enjoyed all our food - lovely calamari starter, as was roast leek. My monkfish main was perfect, but my husband thought his squab pigeon dish took the prize! Very enjoyable Grillo Sicilian white wine.

    A very welcoming restaurant with friendly staff. I have eaten here before and the food has retained its quality and is delicious.
