    Our favourite dish remain the quail (pigeon) and source the accompanying flavours. However the first dish on the a la carte menu was small and did not amount to a standard adult portion. We had a wine seller come around periodically to sell the range of tasting wines, if we hadnt been a little firmer he may have stayed and had a bite to eat with us. We were happy with some of the service, the wine waiter came around with a warm bottle of the taster white in the first place and we sent this back. Initially we were not informed that there would be an extra charge for bread (served with tapenade) and this was eventually removed from the bill. We enjoyed the occasion enough to rebook (see below).

    An interesting reasonably short Provençal/Corsican wine list and menu which was long enough to cater for meat, fish and vegetarian eaters. Some dishes and in particular insect garnishes I had never eaten before. Some excellent carpaccio of fish. Very friendly service coupled with a willingness for us to stay notwithstanding that clearly no more was going to be ordered by us or anyone else.

    This was following an invitation to test the summer menu. Overall a delightful huge value evening for us both. The venue with a glass ceiling and mainly living green foliage with no music was pleasant. The restaurant was full and the staff were certainly stretched providing almost immaculate service. The crispy sardine in a filo case was ok and the red pepper aioli was a great taste and helped the slightly dry fish. My partner had the asparagus, pasta and ricotta. Slightly spoilt by watery liquid from the under drained pasta. My black pudding, chicory and quail egg was delicious. For mains the sea bass was perfectly cooked with crispy skin. I had the grilled beef onglet which was perfectly cooked medium rare and a good sized portion. Ewe cheese and pear was more than nice. The star for me, a non desert person, were the two sorbets strawberry and lemon and lavender. The Corsican white wine was good and not really overpriced.

    The small negatives are the tables down either side are really too close but middle banquets would be much preferable. All the staff were pressurised to deliver what was almost impeccable service but meant bread arrived with the mains and cutlery was a bit mixed. The bread was ok but appeared to have been sliced earlier in the evening. Tapenade was good. However all the staff were well informed and answered all questions accurately. They did not annoy by asking repeatedly if everything was ok.The wine waiter was impressive with knowledge and non condescending style.

    Overall a great find and extraordinary value. Highly recommended.

    Cigalon is a really nice restaurant, not of the first rank but everything is good - the food is imaginative, very well cooked and nicely presented, the service is charming and has the right level of attention and the space is well designed and laid out in a genuinely fine room. You can tell it's a member of the Club Gascon stable through the quality and the attention to detail in all aspects of the experience.

    We went to Cigalon for the 5 course tasting menu and were very impressed. Every course was packed with flavor and well presented and the service was excellent.
    We will definitely return.

    5 Course tasting menu with every course well thought out and presented. Individual ingredients were well chosen and put together while not losing their specific taste and influence on the overall dish.
    A very enjoyable experience and have no problem recommending Cigalon to anyone interested in good cooking.
