This venue was recommended to me for a reunion with an old friend and it certainly added to the occasion. Pleasant tea in elegant surroundings with excellent service which allowed us to chat and eat and drink without hurrying us at all.

From Michelin-starred chefs Chris and Jeff Galvin, Galvin at The Athenaeum champions the finest in British produce. Stepping away from their trademark French-inspired menus, modern takes on classic British dishes join Galvin favourites and a quintessential afternoon tea.
The Galvin menu showcases a host of rich flavours, in dishes such as Dingley Dell pork belly with black pudding and an apple and hazelnut salad, yellowfin tuna burger with white cabbage slaw and avocado, and potato gnocchi with braised short rib and Portobello mushrooms. Galvin classics include duck liver parfait with red onion marmalade and toasted brioche, and steak tartare with toasted sourdough.
Afternoon tea at The Athenaeum on Piccadilly is as refined as its setting. Tuck into classic finger sandwiches, pastries and cakes, and add a glass of fine champagne for extra indulgence.

Execrllent meal selected from the fixed price menu. The Parsnip and Apple Soup was excellent and the Sea Bream was perfectly cooked. Service was excellent although possibly marginally over attentive! Overall a relaxing environment and some great food.

We had lunch at the Galvin before our theatre. The service was excellent, the food was superb!
I really loved the apple and parsnip soup with parsnip crisp. My husband had the Sunday roast which was so tender it was melting in your mouth.
I would happily recommend this restaurant to anyone!

We were seatied near the entrance to the restaurant so everyone passed us entering and leaving the restaurant. It was extremely noisy. Pasta main course was dry.

Really lovely place and centrally located next to Green Park tube station. Restaurant was beautifully decorated for Xmas. We had set menu and food was delicious. Sea bream and sardines for starter were my favourite but all 4 of us ordered different things so we can try. Many people were having afternoon tea which looked really good too!

I enjoyed everything, however I only wish there weren't 2 pieces of scales in my sardine starter.
